Top Social Networking Apps in Germany: Q4 2024 Performance

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top social networking applications in Germany displayed varied trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides an overview of these trends.

Azar: Video Chat, Meet Friends from Hyperconnect LLC saw fluctuations in its weekly revenue, starting at approximately $231K and peaking at $275K by the week of December 23. Downloads showed a noticeable rise towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 19K in the same week. Active users initially increased to about 85K in early October but gradually declined to around 69K by year-end.

Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat experienced a steady revenue trend, closing the quarter at approximately $157K. Weekly downloads peaked at 5.7K in late December, while active users remained consistently above 140K, peaking at 156K in early December.

JOYCE Dating Singles & Paare from F&P GmbH showed an increase in revenue towards the end of the quarter, reaching $157K. Downloads were relatively stable, with a peak of 8K in late December. The active user base saw a slight decrease over the quarter, from 230K to around 194K.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out maintained a strong presence with revenue peaking at $105K. Downloads reached their highest at 57K towards the end of December. Despite minor fluctuations, active users remained robust, consistently exceeding 4.1M throughout the quarter.

BIGO LIVE-Live Stream, Go Live experienced a decline in revenue, dropping to $36K by the end of December. Downloads also decreased significantly, falling to 7K in the final week. Active users showed a downward trend, ending the quarter at about 89K.
